GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
On December 8 and 15 2025, the Georgieva lab at Texas Tech University (TTU) had the pleasure of hosting an outreach event. Students from Lubbock High School, accompanied by their AP Biology teacher Ms. Addyson Damron, visited our lab to gain insight into our molecular virology research.

During the visit, we engaged in meaningful conversations about what drives and inspires us to pursue excellence in research. We shared our reasons for choosing the PhD program in Biochemistry and Biophysics and discussed various career opportunities available to students after graduating from college and graduate school.

The interaction with these inquisitive and opportunity-seeking students was truly rewarding. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made the experience memorable for everyone involved.
